Privacy Policy

Your files never leave this device.

OFFiler does not upload your files. Everything happens inside your browser — the contents, filenames, and metadata of your files are never sent to any external server.

What OFFiler Never Does

  • We do not upload your files to any server.
  • We do not look at, read, or store the contents of your files.
  • We do not send filenames, metadata, or results anywhere.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
  • We do not use tracking cookies to identify you.
  • We do not require an account or login.

Everything Happens On This Device

All file processing in OFFiler — converting and editing PDFs, images, videos, and text — runs entirely inside your browser. Files are held only in browser memory or, when needed, in your device's IndexedDB. They are never sent anywhere.

Skeptical? Good — you should be. OFFiler is built so you can verify it with your own eyes.

How to verify with developer tools

  1. Open your browser's developer tools (F12 in most browsers, or right-click → "Inspect").
  2. Select the "Network" tab.
  3. Choose a file in OFFiler and run the processing as usual.
  4. Look at the list of requests. You will see that your file is never uploaded — no request carries your file out.
  5. Want extra proof? Turn on airplane mode or disconnect from the network mid-process; the processing still finishes without a hitch.

An Honest List of the Few External Services

We never touch your files, but a few external services are needed to run the site. Here they all are.

Analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To understand how the site is used, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics only. It uses no cookies and collects only aggregate data such as page views, referrers, and browser type — nothing that identifies you personally.

Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)

This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. For delivery and security, the hosting platform may record standard access logs (such as IP address and browser info). This is infrastructure-level logging — it is not OFFiler tracking your files or your activity.

Fonts (self-hosted)

The Geist fonts we use are bundled into this site at build time and self-hosted. When you open a page, no request goes out to Google Fonts or any external font service.

Processing engine components (WASM & models)

The WASM and model files used for video, image-AI, and PDF processing are program components delivered from our CDN. They are not your files — only program data is downloaded.

Contact form (Google Forms)

Feedback and bug reports can optionally be sent via an external Google Form. We handle only what you voluntarily type and submit. Using the form is optional, not required.

Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use any tracking cookies.

Instead, we store only settings like these in your device's localStorage: your language preference, theme (light/dark), favorite tools, and a flag for whether the first-visit banner has been shown. All of this stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.

Advertising

OFFiler currently displays no advertisements at all. If we ever introduce ads to sustain the service, we will update this policy before doing so.

You Are in Control

You can clear all stored settings yourself at any time. Deleting this site's data (localStorage) from your browser settings resets your language, theme, favorites, and other preferences to their defaults.

Processed files disappear when you close the page unless you save (download) them. Nothing is left on any server.

We may revise this policy as needed. Any significant changes will be reflected on this page.
