Frequently Asked Questions

Does the redaction also remove the underlying text data?
Redaction alone leaves the underlying text data in the file. To remove it entirely, chain the tools: after redacting, run PDF to Image then Image to PDF. This rasterizes every page into pure images so no extractable text data remains — you can do this in one go using the chain button.
Does this comply with corporate security policies?
All processing stays in your browser with no external communication. Since files are never uploaded to a third-party service, this fits well within most corporate security policies.
Does it work with Word or Excel files?
Currently only PDF files are supported. Please convert Word or Excel documents to PDF first.
