Frequently Asked Questions

Does the redaction completely erase the original text?
Redaction alone leaves the underlying text data in the file. To remove it entirely, chain the tools: after redacting, run PDF to Image then Image to PDF. This rasterizes every page into pure images so no extractable text data remains — you can do this in one go using the chain button.
Does it comply with corporate security policies?
All processing stays in your browser with no external server communication. Since you don't upload confidential files to any third-party service, it fits well within strict corporate policies.
Does it work with scanned document PDFs?
Yes. PDF Markup works on scanned image-based PDFs as well.
